nePlay Child Safety Standards & Abuse Prevention Policy

nePlay is committed to protecting children and has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This policy sets out the standards we uphold, how we prevent and respond to CSAE, and how anyone can report it to us. It applies to everyone who uses nePlay and to all content shared on the platform.

1. Our Commitment

nePlay does not allow child sexual abuse or exploitation in any form. We are committed to detecting it, removing it, banning those responsible, and reporting it to the appropriate authorities.

2. Definitions

"Child" or "minor" means any person under the age of 18.
"CSAE" (child sexual abuse and exploitation) means any content or conduct that sexually abuses, exploits, or endangers a child.
"CSAM" (child sexual abuse material) means any image, video, or other media depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child.

3. Minimum Age

You must be at least 13 years old (or older where your country's laws require) to use nePlay. Where we identify or reasonably believe an account belongs to a person under the minimum age, we remove or restrict that account.

4. Prohibited Content and Behaviour

We strictly prohibit, and remove, any content or behaviour involving CSAE, including but not limited to:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form
  • Sexualisation of a minor, including sexualised text, imagery, or AI-generated or edited media
  • Grooming, or building a relationship with a minor for sexual purposes
  • Sextortion, or threatening to share intimate content of a minor
  • Soliciting, requesting, or offering CSAM or sexual contact with a minor
  • Sexual harassment of a minor
  • Promoting, normalising, or facilitating any of the above

5. Zero Tolerance

There is no acceptable context for CSAE on nePlay. Any account involved in this content or behaviour is permanently banned, along with any other accounts belonging to the same person.

6. How We Detect and Moderate

We work to keep CSAE off nePlay through a combination of:

  • User reporting tools available throughout the app
  • Review of reported content by our moderation team
  • Restrictions on accounts and features that are misused

We continue to strengthen these measures as the platform grows.

7. How to Report

Anyone can report content, an account, or a message that may involve CSAE:

  • In the app, using the Report option on any post, profile, or chat; or
  • By email to safety@neplay.app with the subject line "CSAE report".

Reports involving child safety are treated as our highest priority. You do not need a nePlay account to email us a report.

8. What We Do When We Become Aware of CSAE

When we become aware of CSAE, whether through detection, a user report, or a referral from a partner or authority, we act promptly to:

  • Remove the content and disable access to it
  • Preserve relevant information as required to support law enforcement
  • Permanently ban the account and any associated accounts
  • Report the matter to the appropriate authorities

9. Cooperation With Authorities

We report CSAE to the relevant authorities, which may include the Nepal Police Cyber Bureau and, where applicable, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline. We cooperate with valid legal requests and with recognised child-protection organisations.

10. Awareness and Survivor Content

Genuine educational, documentary, scientific, or survivor-support content that discusses these issues without depicting or promoting abuse may be permitted, at our discretion and subject to review. This exception never applies to CSAM, which is removed and reported in all cases.

11. Your Responsibility

Every user shares responsibility for keeping nePlay safe. If you come across content or behaviour that may harm a child, report it immediately rather than sharing, saving, or forwarding it.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. The current version is always available at https://neplay.app/child-safety. Continued use of nePlay means you accept the current version.
